I am proud to offer artistic tattooing for survivors of breast cancer, and also also scars from gender confirmation top surgery.
I am honored you are considering me to aid in your healing, and will do my best to make sure you feel heard and are well taken care of.
Mastectomy typically results in the loss of the nipples/areola, along with some or all of the breast tissue. Whether a survivor has decided to have reconstructive surgery with implants or not, the lack of nipples and resulting scars can be very disconcerting for some survivors.
We NEED to wait until your scars are fully healed before we can tattoo anywhere near them. "Fully healed" means not pink or raised. Scar tissue is really tricky to work with, and having it ready to go makes all the difference in the world. Ask your doctor what you can do to help the scars to heal better and faster. Products like Mederma and the like are very effective if used consistently.
Any sort of post-mastectomy tattooing will take more than one sitting to complete, guaranteed. It’s best to be prepared going in!
You are not limited to the oft-seen floral designs, but the meandering nature of scars usually leads to designs with a more organic flow to them.
I am always happy to do a free consultation either online or in person so I can see what we are working with, and go over some ideas.
All before, during, and after photos help immensely in promoting this deeply personal healing work. Out of respect for my clients, photos I use show only the actual tattoos and no identifying information. Many survivors don't even know that this service exists to help them complete their healing process, so allowing me to share the results is crucial.
My hourly rate for all types of scar and coverup tattooing is 250
